Ngày nay, khi download macOS High Sierra trên App Store thì file Install macOS High Sierra.app chỉ khoảng 22.7 MB, file này không thể dùng để tạo bộ cài đặt offline.
Bài viết này ghi lại một trong các cách download macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 để tạo bộ cài đặt offline.
1. Download những files sau đây
- InstallAssistantAuto.pkg
- InstallESDDmg.pkg
- AppleDiagnostics.chunklist
- AppleDiagnostics.dmg
- BaseSystem.chunklist
- BaseSystem.dmg
2. Giải nén file InstallAssistantAuto.pkg để lấy file Install macOS High Sierra.app
Ta có thể dùng ứng dụng đọc file pkg/mpkg, thí dụ Pacifist tại https://www.charlessoft.com.
Hoặc dùng Terminal command:
pkgutil --expand-full [pkg] [dir]
Thí dụ: pkgutil —expand-full /Users/kindalog/Downloads/InstallAssistantAuto.pkg /Users/kindalog/Downloads/ExtractPKG
Tìm file app ta cần trong folder Payload.
3. Giải nén file InstallESDDmg.pkg để lấy file InstallESD.dmg
Tương tự bước 2.
4. Copy Install maOS Data vào folder SharedSupport trong file Install macOS High Sierra.app
Click chuột phải trên file app >> Show Package Contents >> Contents >> SharedSupport
Copy những files này vào folder SharedSupport.
- InstallESD.dmg
- AppleDiagnostics.chunklist
- AppleDiagnostics.dmg
- BaseSystem.chunklist
- BaseSystem.dmg
Ngoài ra, trong folder có sẵn file InstallInfo.plist, như vậy ta có 6 files trong folder SharedSupport.
